Thirty years of workshop heritage.
Modnium began in 1996 as a manufacturing partner for the largest names in American furniture. For three decades we built sofas, beds, and dining pieces destined for someone else's showroom — kiln-dried hardwood frames, eight-way hand-tied springs, foam densities we publish openly.
In 2026 we did something different. We started selling direct.
DESIGN PROCESS
Designed in California. Made in our workshop.
Every piece begins with a sketch in our LA studio — a sofa silhouette, a table proportion, an arm height. We prototype in our own workshop with the same kiln-dried hardwood we'll use in production. Every dimension is tested in real living rooms before it ships.
